Airtrunk Sydney

Noble Power Solutions provided testing and pre-commissioning services for a new 132/22kV Private Substation being built in Huntingwood, NSW to supply the new Airtrunk Data Centre. The scope of works included testing of all primary HV equipment including current transformers, voltage transformers, circuit breakers, disconnectors as well as secondary systems such battery chargers and DC systems, transformer protection, bus bar protection, incomer and feeder protection. Much of the protection schemes on site used IEC61850 messaging between devices requiring thorough and detailed testing.

The Huntingwood Substation project was the 2018 NECA NSW Excellence Award Winners for the category of Large Industrial. The National Electrical and Communications Association (NECA), is the peak industry body representing the interests of the electrical and communications contracting industry across Australia.
